As the summer season officially gets underway, the Business Connections network is shifting gears. While our regular monthly meeting schedule is taking a temporary summer hiatus, the work behind the scenes continues, and we want to ensure every member of our campus community stays informed and engaged over the coming months.

Mark Your Calendars: Resuming September 10

While we are pausing our sessions for the summer, we already have our sights set on a productive fall. Mark your calendars now: Business Connections will officially resume on Thursday, September 10, at 10 a.m. 

We look forward to kicking off the new season with fresh insights, critical updates and collaborative discussions.

Shape Our Next Season: Submit Your Topics for FY27

As we look ahead to Fiscal Year 2027, we want to ensure our agenda directly reflects the challenges, tools and topics that matter most to you. We are officially opening the floor for topic submissions and areas of interest for our upcoming meetings. 

Whether there is a specific financial process you want broken down, a new policy change you need clarity on, or a best practice you would like to share, we want to hear it. Please include your ideas and suggestions when you complete the FY27 BC Meeting Presentation or Topic Request so we can build an impactful schedule for the upcoming fiscal year.

A common misconception is that a break in meetings means an information break. In reality, important updates, institutional announcements and key policy reminders are frequently distributed during the summer months.

To ensure you and your team are informed during the summer, we strongly encourage everyone to verify their subscription to our network communications.

How to Connect: Join the listserv or add a new team member by sending an email to the University Controller’s Office.

Taking two minutes to reach out today ensures you will stay informed all summer and hit the ground running when we reconvene.
