We are excited to welcome Elise Leslie, CPA, who has joined the University Controller’s Office as our new accounting manager, reporting to Jennifer Brady, accounting director.
Leslie brings more than 10 years of accounting and audit experience to the team, serving most recently as director of accounting at the Electric Power Research Institute. She spent nearly six years at RTI International, progressing from accounting manager to senior manager, where she led the record-to-report function through an Oracle ERP implementation. Her background also includes public accounting audit work at Johnson Lambert LLP, with a focus on non-profit clients.
In her new role, Leslie will support the integrity of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), oversee debt-related reporting and compliance in alignment with GASB and SEC requirements, and serve as a point of contact for auditors on debt matters. She will also help guide a small team and partner with colleagues across campus on financial reporting and process improvements.
Outside of work, Leslie is a self-described coffee enthusiast who’s been perfecting her latte art since picking up an espresso machine a few years back (and when she’d rather skip the effort, she is a fan of grabbing treats from Boulted Bread). She also dabbles in gardening. She has had good luck with smaller tomatoes so far, though the neighborhood deer and bunnies have happily claimed most of her other crops.
Please join us in giving Elise a warm Wolfpack welcome!
