The University Controller’s Office held its monthly Business Connections meeting on April 11. Several topics were discussed, including:
- A professional development opportunity through the College Business Management Institute (CBMI) conference, which will be held July 21-26 in Lexington, Kentucky. Registration is open!
- Procurement and Business Services highlighted the Amazon Business single sign-on process, upcoming deadlines for the year-end schedule and the PCard Training for Cardholders Refresh. The Shibboleth authentication requirement for the Finance Division Knowledge Base and the surplus sale dates for April were discussed.
- The University Controller’s Office highlighted changes to the Fiscal Year 2024 Close Out Schedule. They provided an overview of duplication of payment, credits, refunds, the Travel Manual, reimbursements, building vendor information and voucher approvals.
- The Office of Information Technology provided information on the current acceptable and unacceptable approval processes for eSignatures.
- The Office of Enterprise Application Services reviewed the Financial System reports and tools updates and announced that the Financial Production System will be unavailable from 4 p.m. Friday, June 28 until 10 a.m. on Monday, July 1 for year-end and OUC reorganization. Please note that Financial Reporting and the WolfPack Reporting System (WRS) will remain available.
Materials from the April Business Connections have been posted on the Controller’s Office website. The upcoming meetings for fiscal year 2025 have been scheduled to resume in September.
