Recognizing Our New Hire and Student Workers

Written by Zeryn Macklin.

As the Fall semester begins, we are excited to introduce some key members of the University Cashier’s Office team. Caleb Perkins, our new full-time student accounts specialist, joined us recently and is getting settled into his role. Meanwhile, Kirsten Jackson and Diarra Diagne, our dedicated student workers, have been with us since May and have already made significant contributions to our office operations and the wider NC State community!

Caleb Perkins

Caleb joined the team as a student accounts specialist, bringing with him extensive experience in finance, from handling loans and mortgages to investments. His background equips him well for managing student accounts, ensuring accuracy in billing and payments and providing support to students as they navigate their financial responsibilities. Caleb’s role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our office, especially during the high-demand periods at the start of each semester. We are excited about the expertise Caleb brings to the team and look forward to his ongoing contributions to our office and students.

Our Dedicated Student Workers

Kirsten Jackson and Diarra Diagne have been instrumental in supporting our office throughout the Summer and into the Fall semester. Both have taken on significant responsibilities, including assisting with front-desk inquiries and helping to streamline our daily operations. Kirsten, a junior majoring in business administration, has found her work here invaluable in building connections with fellow students and gaining real-world experience in finance. Diarra, a senior majoring in political science, has leveraged her time at the Cashier’s Office to enhance her professional skills, which will undoubtedly benefit her future career in law.

Kirsten and Diarra’s contributions have not only eased the workload for our full-time staff but have also enriched the services we provide to the student body. Their roles have been vital in ensuring that our office runs efficiently, particularly during the peak season, and their efforts have had a positive impact on the university’s financial processes.

We are proud to have Caleb, Kirsten and Diarra on our team and look forward to their continued involvement in helping the University Cashier’s Office serve the NC State community.
