Foundations Accounting and Investments (FAI) is responsible for the approval, setup and maintenance of new foundation and University Endowment Fund projects in the Financial and LOBO systems. LOBO is a donor database maintained by University Advancement Services. The Chartfield Request (accessible through MyPack Portal) should be used to request new projects and modifications to existing projects.

FAI has recently updated its Chartfield Request training manuals and website to provide more detailed assistance to our campus partners. The new manuals are located on the Associated Entities website under Resources and References. The new training manuals are now organized into three different request types: 

• FAI Chartfield Request – New
• FAI Chartfield Request – Modify 
• FAI Chartfield Request – Inactivate 

These manuals are designed to better assist campus with their individual requests and serve as reference tools to help ensure a project is set up or updated correctly.

FAI would like to remind campus that these manuals are designed for FAI (Foundation and Endowment Fund) specific projects only. For all other Chartfield Requests, please refer to the central office responsible for that funding type.
