Principal Investigators (PIs) or department/college administrators of a federal contract or grant often say, “I keep hearing terms like invoicing, drawdown, revenue, cash and receivables. I am totally confused and I don’t know what my responsibility is.”
Don’t worry: that is what the Office of Contracts and Grants is for!
When we hear questions like How are payments from federal sponsors managed?, we want to make sure PIs know that Contracts and Grants will manage your contract or grant invoicing. In turn, the PI or departmental administrator should focus on compliant spending.

Please direct any questions to your Fiscal Manager or consult the PI Portal, which includes data related to invoicing and includes copies of invoices and payments made from your sponsor. The PI portal should be accessible through the MyPack Portal.
