Procurement Services is excited to announce a streamlined requisition process thanks to newly delegated State of North Carolina procurement authority, which allows NC State to modify the procurement process.
Campus departments will continue to submit non-MarketPlace requisitions for purchases of goods and services above $5,000 to Procurement Services. However, within Procurement Services, there are now new streamlined steps for processing requisitions between $5,000 and $25,000. Once Procurement Services receives a college/division approved requisition in this dollar range and with the required supporting documentation attached, a purchase order can be issued to the selected vendor within 2 to 3 business days. Requisition documentation requirements include, but are not limited to, a supplier’s quote and a memo requesting a waiver of the competitive bidding process.
