NC State is committed to providing its employees with the resources they need to utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) effectively. The AI Advisory Group, created in 2024 under the leadership of the executive vice chancellor and provost and the vice chancellor for research and innovation, is leading this initiative.

A key resource developed by this group is the AI @ NC State website. This is your go-to destination for exploring a variety of AI tools, resources and guidance designed to support and enhance your daily tasks. This website offers insights into practical business applications and foundational knowledge for beginners, along with links to online courses and tutorials. You’ll also find the latest AI news and perspectives.

Using AI Responsibly

By leveraging AI tools responsibly, we can achieve greater efficiency and precision, ultimately optimizing our time and resources. Remember, all use of AI must adhere to NC State’s mission, vision, values and strategic plan, and be ethically sound. Please consult the Guidelines for the Use of AI for Business Tasks to ensure responsible and professional implementation.

Approved AI Tools

If you’re ready to explore specific AI tools, OIT provides an approved list and outlines the process for submitting an IT Purchase Compliance review request when required.
