As we wrap up our spring 2026 billing cycle, the University Cashier’s Office (UCO) has processed more than $325 million in total billed charges. Spring semester typically brings a slightly smaller billing population than the fall semester, since many students graduate in December. Even so, this cycle brought a burst of activity, especially with the arrival of our incoming Spring Connect Students, a cohort of incoming first-year students who were admitted in spring 2025 to begin at NC State in January 2026. It’s rewarding to help those families navigate their first semester with us and make sure they feel supported.
While spring billing is usually a bit lighter, the period leading to the December deadline still ramps up quickly. In a single day, our office handled nearly 300 phone calls and more than 250 emails as students and families finalized payment plans, submitted last-minute payments and reviewed their accounts before the Thanksgiving break.
Thank you to our UCO team for the continuous support, patience and problem-solving you brought to this billing cycle. We also want to recognize our campus partners in Student Services and the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid for their tireless work assisting with registration and financial aid. Also, their guidance to help students through their individual account questions has been critical for student success. Together, we make sure students have the information, support and stability they need as they get ready for the new term.
