Summer salary refers to any earnings paid through NC State University for work performed by 9-month faculty during the period between May 16 and August 15, including Maymester instruction. All 9-month faculty who will receive summer salary must complete the online Summer Salary Training course prior to receiving summer salary payments.

All administrators who process summer salary or do summer salary data entry must complete the online Summer Salary Training course prior to entering or processing data for summer salary payments.

April deadlines include requisitions (non-MarketPlace requisitions), which must be entered and approved at all levels to accommodate receipt and payment of FY 2026 purchases by April 15, 2026.

The University Controller’s Office has officially released the Fiscal Year End Closeout Schedule for the upcoming fiscal year-end close. To ensure a smooth transition and timely processing of all financial transactions, please review the key dates and deadlines posted on our website.

The NC State Employee Dependent Tuition Scholarship is available for eligible students! Encourage your students to apply through Pack Assist if they meet the following criteria:

• Must be a dependent of a full-time NC State employee for at least three years as of July 1
• Be a full-time undergraduate student pursuing their first degree
• Maintain a 2.0 GPA with satisfactory academic performance
• Students must reapply by May 1 each year to be considered for this award
