The University Controller’s Office hosts Business Connections Meetings each fiscal year from September to April (there is no December meeting due to the winter break). During these meetings, we share key financial updates and feature guest presentations on topics requested by the audience. January Meeting Recap
University Controller’s Office (UConO)
UConO announced the Payroll Office has relocated to the Administrative Services II building. With this move, all areas of the University Controller’s Office are now housed in a single location.
University Human Resources (UHR)
UHR announced updates to the Guide for System Access Removal for Separating Employees, including a rapid separation process and a $1,500 fee for file or email access requests after departure. The new process takes effect on February 4, 2026.
Procurement and Business Services (PBS)
PBS announced updates on the MarketPlace Expo, purchasing thresholds, sourcing, compliance, process exceptions, surplus sales, Card Services and upcoming PCard refresher training.
Office of Enterprise Applications Services (EAS)
EAS announced an upcoming Obligation Tracking Module that will allow departments to track obligations not captured in the Financial System for the current and up to four future fiscal years. The module was scheduled to go live on January 30, 2026.
Accounts Payable (AP)
AP provided updates on office deadlines, the 2026 IRS mileage rate change, revisions to the Travel Manual, payment processing procedures and upcoming training resources.
Asset Management (AM)
Asset Management provided an overview highlighting the importance of accurate records and strong internal controls, reviewed the Capital Asset Inventory Cycle and shared available training resources.
