The University Controller’s Office held its monthly Business Connections meeting on March 14. Several topics were discussed, including:
- The Year-End Close Calendar with key dates for procurement, disbursements, payroll and budget. The dates for the year-end calendar have been posted on the FIN Reporting Calendar. If you cannot access the calendar, please send your request to university-controller@ncsu.edu.
- The University Employee Engagement Committee announced that the Employee Engagement Survey would be launched on March 25 to obtain insight into the thoughts of the campus community to identify areas of strength and areas needing improvement.
- Procurement & Business Services highlighted changes to the Amazon Business single sign-on process, PCard Training for Cardholders refresh and Supplier Information Manual for Campus. They provided information on the supplier onboarding timeline and the upcoming surplus sale dates for March.
- The University Controller’s Office also announced the updated Travel Manual and the new Internal Controls for Financial Data Guide, which are now available on the Controller’s Office website.
- The meeting also provided information on trust fund budgets and budget journal functionality in PeopleSoft and upcoming changes to the Financial System’s appearance.
Material from the March Business Connections has been posted on the Controller’s Office website. The final Business Connections of the fiscal year will be held on April 11.
